Results from the CAVIAAR study at up to 5 years of follow-up are emerging and have been published in the European Journal of Cardio-thoracic Surgery.

The CAVIAAR study, promoted by the Assistance Publique - Hôpitaux de Paris (AP-HP), seeks to demonstrate the superiority of a standardized surgical technique for conservative aortic valve surgery, using prosthetic valve replacement surgery as a reference standard, in cases of dystrophic aortic insufficiencies and aortic root aneurysms.  This publication presents an analysis of the aortic root dynamics of 60 patients out of 600 patients operated using the CAVIAAR technique.
